Your cousin who works in Riyadh sends you one of those Saudi gift cards for your birthday. You open the email and see “SAR 100.” Three questions hit you at once. Is this card real? Can you use it in Nigeria? And if you can’t, what is it worth in naira?
This guide answers all three. You’ll learn which Saudi gift cards are popular, what each one buys, the riyal values they come in, and the regional rules that decide whether a card works for you. You’ll also learn how to work out a card’s value in seconds and how to sell supported cards for naira without falling for the usual traps.
Yes, Saudi Arabia has gift cards. The most popular Saudi gift cards include Apple, Google Play, Amazon.sa, PlayStation, Steam, noon, and Jarir Bookstore. They come in Saudi riyals (SAR) and usually work only with accounts or stores in Saudi Arabia. If you live in Nigeria, you can sell supported cards, such as the Saudi Apple iTunes card, for naira on Ridima.
A Saudi gift card is a prepaid card issued for the Saudi market. Two details separate it from the US or UK cards most Nigerians already know.
Saudi Arabia pegs its riyal to the US dollar at a fixed rate of 3.75 riyals per dollar, and it has held that rate since 1986. That makes the maths easy. You can divide the SAR value by 3.75.
| Card value (SAR) | Dollar value |
| SAR 50 | about $13.33 |
| SAR 100 | about $26.67 |
| SAR 187.50 | $50 |
| SAR 375 | $100 |
| SAR 750 | $200 |
Note that this table only shows the face value. The naira you receive when you sell depends on the trading rate for that brand, region, and card type on the day you trade. That’s why the same dollar value can pay differently from one card to another, as we explain in do gift cards have varying rates?
So, always check today’s figure on the Ridima gift card rate calculator before you make any decision.
These are the popular Saudi gift cards you should know as a Nigerian;
Apple gift card allows users to purchase apps, games, music, movies, iCloud+ storage, subscriptions, and Apple products from Apple’s Saudi store. The digital Saudi Apple gift card comes in any amount from SAR 50 to SAR 5,000.
Apple’s terms limit the Saudi card to Apple properties in Saudi Arabia. That means the receiving Apple Account must also be set to Saudi Arabia.
This is the Saudi card you can sell most easily in Nigeria. Ridima’s calculator lists a Saudi Arabia (SAR) Apple iTunes option for cards between SAR 100 and SAR 1,000, so you can check what your Saudi Apple card is worth in naira in a few taps. When you’re ready, head to the sell Apple iTunes gift card page.
A Saudi Arabian Google Play gift card lets you buy Android apps, games, books, movies, and in-app items on Google Play. Google’s official support page lists SAR 20, SAR 50, SAR 100, SAR 300, and SAR 400. You can also get custom amounts from SAR 20 to SAR 400.
Your Google Play country must match the card’s country. Saudi card terms also state that the user must live in Saudi Arabia.
Google Play is one of the most familiar brands on Nigerian trading apps. Before you sell, confirm the platform accepts the Saudi version, not just the US one. Check the Ridima Google Play gift card page for the regions currently listed. If you have a card that matches your own account’s region, our guide on how to redeem a Google Play gift card walks you through it.
Amazon is a popular online marketplace. It allows users to buy electronics, fashion, beauty, home goods, and millions of other items on Amazon’s Saudi website, Amazon.sa.
Sellers list Amazon.sa cards from SAR 10 up to SAR 1,000. An Amazon.sa card only works on Amazon.sa. It is not the same as an Amazon.com (US) card, even though both carry the Amazon name. Card terms shared by Saudi seller Resal state that Amazon.sa gift cards expire after 10 years.
So, don’t assume your Amazon.sa card will fetch the same rate as a US Amazon card. Buyers price regional Amazon cards differently, so check the Ridima Amazon gift card page for the card you hold.
With a PlayStation Store gift card, you can purchase games, add-ons, in-game currency, and PlayStation Plus subscriptions on PS4 and PS5.
Saudi PlayStation cards often mirror US dollar tiers. You’ll see values like SAR 37.50 (10),SAR75(20), SAR 187.50 (50),andSAR750(200). The card needs a PlayStation Network account registered in Saudi Arabia. Some sellers also state a 12-month window to redeem the code, so check the terms on your card.
Those odd numbers like SAR 187.50 confuse many first-time sellers. Now you know they are simply dollar values converted at 3.75.
The Steam Wallet gift card can buy PC games, downloadable content (DLC), and in-game items on Steam. Saudi Steam Wallet codes come in small and large amounts, from around SAR 20 and SAR 50 up to several hundred riyals.
Saudi Steam codes are meant for Steam accounts with a SAR wallet. Sellers warn that the card currency must match your Steam account currency. Steam is a popular brand among Nigerian gift card traders, but the region still matters.
A SAR Steam card and a USD Steam card are not the same product, and rates can differ. Check the Ridima Steam gift card page to see which Steam regions you can trade.
Noon gift card is specific to the Saudi Arabian market. With it, you can shop for products on noon.com, the Middle East’s homegrown online marketplace, and services such as noon Food and noon Minutes in Saudi Arabia.
Sellers list Saudi noon cards at SAR 10, SAR 25, SAR 50, SAR 100, SAR 200, and SAR 500. You redeem the card into “noon credits” using a 16-digit card number and a 4-digit PIN. Saudi noon cards only work on noon accounts registered in Saudi Arabia.
Very few Nigerian trading platforms list noon cards. If you receive one, your best move is to gift it to someone who lives in Saudi Arabia.
As the name implies, the Jarir Bookstore gift card allows users to purchase books, stationery, laptops, phones, and accessories from Jarir, one of Saudi Arabia’s best-known retail chains. Jarir cards are available in SAR 50, SAR 100, SAR 300, and SAR 500, and some sellers offer SAR 1,000.
You redeem it at Jarir showrooms by showing the barcode, or online at Jarir’s website. Jarir cards make thoughtful gifts for students and workers in Saudi Arabia. They are hard to sell in Nigeria, so treat them as a “use it or regift it” card.
If you want to send a gift card to someone in Saudi Arabia, or you live there and want one for yourself, you have three safe options.
If you are in Nigeria and want to pay in naira, you can also buy gift cards on Ridima. Just confirm the region before you pay.
Tip for Nigerians sending gifts to Saudi Arabia: Buy a digital card, confirm the seller lists it as a Saudi (KSA) card, and double-check the recipient’s email before you pay. A card for the wrong region is a gift nobody can use.
